Our selection of artisan upholstered and restored fine furniture is constantly evolving. Pre production invenory consists of reclaimed fine furniture: chairs, sofas, and ottomans. The frames are solid hardwood. The styles - French Country, Midcentury, and vintage circa 1920 to 1970's. Midwest Made, within a close community of supportive neighbors and friends, one piece at a time.

Fortree Hill Furniture's signature piece is the single cast away chair.
That's how we began. Merely a single chair that has stood the test of time and quietly waits for more. Our design is unique and continually evolving.

We're discerning and choose only solid wood frames, solid hardwood.
Each piece originating circa 1920 to 1970's.
Design is always authentic, Vintage 1920 to 1970's, Midcentury, and French Country.
Each piece is research and all documentation as to originally production maintained. If there's a craftsman's signature and date, we take a picture. There's often a lot of history inside each chair.

Pairs of Chairs
Whenever possible Pairs of Chairs are acquired. In this case our preference is to offer the mated pairs, they've been together so long, "why" break them up?

Sofas
Sofas are exquistie and always bring enjoyment to the creative process. These pieces even when striped to their bare frames, are heavy. Most often there is exposed wood, it could be decoratively carved base structure or just awesome legs.
Typically 18 to 28 yards of the best upholstery fabric is required and only the best will do.

Ottomans
Ottomans have character and beg for attention. Our sizes are assorted reflecting the design element circa 1920 to 1970"s. Shapes are circle, rectange, or square. Embellishments with nailheads, welting cord, ot tufting. The Pre Production Inventory is full, we can never pass an Ottoman up, there's always room in our Begotten collection.
